A complete solution to lower the operating cost
of existing desalination and water-reuse plants

Software, remote O&M and resident engineers, from a team that operates its own desalination plant.

−9.8%whole-plant energy per m³, lower in all 10 months
−44%routine chemical dosing per m³, all four dosing lines reduced
0RO elements replaced in 28 months of operation

Three ways to work with us

Start with the platform, add remote operations support, or hand us the plant. Every engagement starts with a visit: one of our engineers comes to your plant to discuss your needs face-to-face and confirm what you want to improve. From there the scope is fully customized to your plant and your team, and every option runs on the same software and the same engineers who operate our own plant.

01 · Software

Platform implementation

DesalOps installed for your plant: a physics-based model built from your historian, daily setpoint recommendations, membrane health and CIP dates, alerts and reports.

Start
A site visit to confirm your needs face-to-face; then a questionnaire and a read-only historian export.
Scope
The modules and setpoints that matter for your goals: energy, chemicals, membrane life, or all three.
Runs on
Your servers, hybrid, or our cloud. Nothing written to the PLC.
Tailored
Scope, timeline and pricing follow your plant and your targets.
02 · Remote operations

Remote monitoring & O&M management

Our process engineers watch your plant through the platform, review every recommendation before it reaches your operators, and run the weekly and monthly performance cycle with your team.

Start
A site visit to meet your operators and agree what we watch and how we report.
Coverage
Hours, alarm watch and escalation defined with you, in your time zone.
Cadence
Daily advice, performance reviews and reports at the rhythm your team wants.
Focus
The KPIs you choose: energy, chemicals, membrane life, availability.
Tailored
Scope and pricing follow the coverage you need.
03 · On site

Resident engineers & full operation

Process engineers embedded at your plant for commissioning, CIP and membrane-replacement campaigns or long-term staffing; or a KPI-based contract under which we operate the plant.

Start
A site visit to assess the plant and agree the assignment with your team.
Resident engineer
Assignments sized to the task: a campaign, a season, or long term; operator training included.
Full operation
Availability, water-quality and cost KPIs agreed in the contract.
Reference
15-year O&M contract on our 600 m³/d SWRO plant, since 2024.
Tailored
Staffing and terms follow your plant and your goals.

Four modules, two goals

Lower energy and chemical use during operation, and take most of the daily load off your operators.

Membrane health & CIP timing

Normalized permeate flow, salt passage and net driving pressure per train against its own post-cleaning reference.

Daily setpoints — energy

Re-solves the whole plant each day for the lowest energy per m³ at that day's production and feed conditions.

Daily setpoints — dosing

Antiscalant, disinfection and pH-correction doses recalculated from feed and production conditions.

Alerts, equipment & reports

Trips and alarms to your messaging channel; service forecasts for pumps and drives; owner and regulator reports.

From a site visit to daily advice in four phases

Each phase has a defined deliverable and an acceptance criterion. You can stop after any phase.

Site visit and plant model

Typically 4 weeks

Our engineer meets your team on site to confirm needs and targets. Then, from a questionnaire and a historian export, we build the plant model and list the open items and the data needed to close them.

Closed trial and tuning

Until you are satisfied

The platform runs on your plant in a closed trial, visible only to your team and ours. We review every output together and refine the model, the recommendations and the reports to your needs until you are satisfied.

Acceptance test

Typically 2 weeks

The recommendations are tested against your past operating records: situations that exceeded a limit must be flagged, normal operation must pass. Deliverable: a pass/fail report for every limit.

Go-live

Ongoing

Recommendations reach your operators every day for manual entry. Remote monitoring and O&M management can start here.

Engineers who build, operate and model desalination plants

Nedtex Technology was founded in Taipei in 2015 by water-treatment engineers. We plan, design and build desalination and water-reuse plants, and we operate them: the Jibei plant has been under our own operation since commissioning, with a ten-minute operating record kept since May 2024.

DesalOps grew out of that operating experience. Every recommendation it makes is one we would apply on our own plant, and every method behind it is documented, validated on plant data and published.

We work with plant owners and operators in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Latin America, in English, Spanish and Chinese.
